The woes of the last few months (Swampost posts 1 and 2) seem to be over, the digging out of the pile and addition of plenty of leaves has stopped the bad smell and the pile, whilst still wet, is nowhere near wet enough to have bubbles forming in it (as a few months ago when bubbles were forming on the surface).

The pile still isn’t what anyone would consider ready to use, and has a lot of leaf matter in it now, plus it still isn’t very warm and there aren’t too many mites about (but also almost no flies), it does however smell more like soil than the gaping maw of hell, so I will keep my fingers crossed.
